ABOUT

Jackson Waller is an adventure guide, photographer, and storyteller from North Vancouver, British Columbia. He grew up “where the mountains meet the sea,” on the territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Lil’wat Nations, between the North Shore and Whistler. The mountains, forests, and ocean that shaped his early life continue to influence his photography.

Jackson’s work, curiosity, and search for adventure have taken him across six continents. He has guided tours by bike, kayak, and jeep, with experience ranging from Northern Vancouver Island to the Australian Outback. His interest in photography began at a young age. He received his first digital camera at eight, before traveling to Australia with his family. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was featured in MONOVA’s Living History project, sharing his experience of that time.

Through photography, Jackson seeks to capture the beauty and interconnectedness of our planet and the beings we share it with. This website brings together moments from his work and travels over the past several years. Some projects were planned; others grew out of time in the field, and many began simply by looking around. He hopes to inspire others by sharing the natural world, and the people connected to it.
